Ethiopia Gelena Abaya


Natural has come into vogue, with new specialty coffee producers all over the world taking inspiration from the process that originated in Ethiopia. During the natural process, the skin and flesh of the cherry remain on the seed. This means that during drying, the fruitiness and sugars of these layers imbue themselves on the fruit. The result is a full bodied fruit bomb!

The aroma when grinding this coffee and the first flavour to hit the pallet is the recognisable unfailing sweet blueberry with passionfruit acidity renowned with Ethiopia. Rich Dark Cocoa Nibs fronts up from midway through to the finish that lingers heavy on the tongue.

From the first sip this coffee has character that makes you believe there is a coffee nirvana. Tasting notes with milk are of apricots and coconut cream.
