Join Our Team: Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager
Wolff Coffee Roasters | Brisbane, QLD
Full-time | Senior Role | Growth-Focused
We’re not looking for a coffee sales manager.
We’re looking for a market maker.
Wolff Coffee Roasters is searching for a Business Development Manager who can open doors others don’t even notice, someone who sees opportunity beyond the café world and has the creativity, commercial instinct, and confidence to build entirely new pathways for growth.
If you’re the kind of person who thrives on possibility, understands premium product markets, and loves shaping the future rather than reacting to it… we want to talk.
About Wolff Coffee Roasters
We are a proudly independent, Australian specialty coffee roaster with a deep commitment to quality, education, and innovation. Our business spans wholesale, retail, training, consulting, and collaborative projects that push the boundaries of what coffee can be.
We are now entering a new phase of growth - one that calls for a Business Development Manager who can think bigger than traditional coffee sales.
The Opportunity
This role is for someone who:
- Sees opportunity everywhere - not just in cafés, but in corporate, hospitality, retail, export, partnerships, and emerging markets.
- Can develop strategic growth frameworks while also executing hands-on sales activity.
- Enjoys crafting solutions that genuinely suit the partner’s needs, not pushing products.
- Is excited to contribute to long-term business direction and brand evolution.
You will be empowered to lead, explore, test, create, and build relationships with autonomy - all while working alongside a passionate and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new market segments and partnership opportunities.
- Create and execute multi-channel business development strategies.
- Build long-term relationships with wholesale clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Lead commercial conversations that focus on value and outcomes, not just pricing.
- Negotiate agreements and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and monitor market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Represent Wolff Coffee Roasters with professionalism at industry events, tastings, and presentations.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a hybrid: part strategist, part relationship builder, part entrepreneur.
Essential:
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or multi-industry sales.
- Demonstrated ability to think beyond the obvious and create new opportunities.
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- Strategic commercial thinking with hands-on execution capability.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative.
- A passion for quality - ideally with an appreciation for specialty coffee.
Bonus points for:
- Experience launching products or markets.
- Exposure to FMCG, hospitality, corporate services, or premium consumer goods.
- Creative approach to solution selling and partnership building.
What We Offer
- An opportunity to shape the next chapter of a respected specialty coffee brand.
- A collaborative, values-driven team that supports innovation and experimentation.
- Competitive salary package with performance-based incentives.
- Professional development, sensory training, and ongoing coffee education.
- A role where your ideas are valued - and can be actioned quickly.
